Greetings from Keep Noblesville Beautiful Working together with our volunteers and supporters 2024 was an active and exciting year for us. Our teams worked together on planting gardens, painting murals, creating public art and much more. Here are a few highlights from 2024. Roundabouts and Highway Clean Ups Carrigan and Hague Roads Roundabout One hundred Northern Sea Oats (Chasmanthium latifolium - a plant native to Indiana) were added to the roundabout at Carrigan and Hague Roads to enhance the nautical theme of the sculpture. Thank you to Noblesville Street Department for their partnership on this project. Highway 37 Clean Up A small team cleaned up a two-mile stretch of Highway 37 as part of Serve Noblesville’s week of service. Items were separated out for recycling by our hardworking volunteer, Robert Gomez.
Art Installations / Beautification Projects 191st Street and Little Chicago Road Art Installation We're thrilled to share our latest beautification project at the roundabout on 191st Street and Little Chicago Rd. This stunning kinesthetic sculpture features beautiful butterflies that seem to dance gracefully in the wind, bringing life and color to Noblesville. Thank you to Duke Energy Foundation, the City of Noblesville, Peterson Architecture and Martin and Martin Insurance Agency for their funding of this project and and to local artist Scott Stottlemyer for his incredible design. His creativity has truly brightened this space! Thanks to Noblesville Street Department for the footings and installation of the sculpture. Projects like these remind us of the power of collaboration to create something truly special for our community. The project was spearheaded by Steve Strycker of the Utilities department. Three wastewater cisterns were painted using drawings from Noblesville High School art students. View the beautiful results along the newly opened Pleasant Street bridge. Nature Plantings Daffodil Plantings Relocation Over 1800 daffodil bulbs were relocated to Forest Park. Look for additional spring color along the entrance of the park next spring. Historic Riverside Cemetery Clean Up and Plantings KNB partnered with the Clerk Treasurer’s Office to spruce up Riverside Historical Cemetery. Approximately 150 new plants were added to the Babyland area. Thank you to Hamilton County Master Gardeners for their expertise in plant selection and garden design. Public Outreach Noblesville Farmers Market KNB showcased their work at the Farmers Market in late September. It was exciting to meet new people and share volunteer opportunties with market-goers. Indiana Peony Festival KNB started and ended the year helping the Indiana Peony Festival plant spring flowers on the Square and peony rhizomes in the fall as part of the Indiana Peony Trail project. Looking Forward to 2025 Projects planned for 2025 include adding pollinator plants to the new butterfly roundabout, adding more public art to Noblesville, continuing with clean-ups and peony plantings and partnering with more wonderful organizations and businesses.
